Tumbling For Dancers


Tumbling, execution of acrobatic movements and combinations such as rolls, cartwheels, handsprings, aerials & layouts on floor mats or on the ground like stages. Tumbling does not involve the use of apparatuses.

Some Tumbling Skills Include


Aerials

Side Aerials & Front Aerials are used often in tumbling combining with other other skills, such as Back Handsprings.


Handsprings

Back Handsprings are normally used after cartwheels, round-off's or side aerials as part of a combination. Back Handsprings can be done on it's own and also Back Tuck & Back Layouts can follow afterwards.


Back Tucks & Layouts

Back Tucks & Back Layouts are often the last skill finishing a combination.


Cartwheels & Walkovers

Cartwheels & Walkovers are the main basics & foundations in Tumbling.
